I'm fairly sure I want to limit HW to one per map...on all maps. Currently it's two. Snipers are already limited to one on MOST maps...not all. I don't believe in more than 2 engies...the limit on ALL our maps.
TFC should be a battle...not an automatic kill with an sg, or by sniper from across a map...or by two HW's shutting down an entire map like smallfort last night. It truly took the "fun" out of that map..being it's so small.
Considerations:
It's rare that two such skilled players take these spots and dominate a map.
Most newcomers wish to play this class and do not excell at it. It IS "fun" for them.

yea i agree and as well going against two HW's that are sitting on packs just pumping lead into anyone that comes around is pure insanity. |

I personally think it should be on a map-by-map basis.
A giant map would be fine with 3 engies, or 2 HWs. |

Sniper limit for sure. Its a hard call on the rest, while I think one HW per team should be an unwritten rule of anti-noobness, it is a popular class among new pubbers and the limit can be frustrating. As for the engineers I dont see them being a problem on the majority of maps but if there are specific maps that are issues i say limit them and we'll see how it plays and adjust accordingly. |

yea...like dustbowl wouldnt be bad with 2 HW's or 3 enig's cause thats wha u need ..... but like small maps like 2fort ect their not 2 bad with 1 HW...but i think the engis should stay the same....
....as for snipers, i say 1 per team....wha i hate more than going like 1-40 is as soon as u pop ur head out theirs 2 snipers waitng 2 blow ur head off |

I've been a sniper for damn near 3 years. It's my favorite class. Yet, i die EVERYTIME in close combat. Yes, i've learned how to deal with close combat situations while a sniper, but most havent. If CBC was a soldier across the map, yes, if i missed my first powered shot *which i sometimes do* id have to shoot him 4 or so more times, by which time he'd be at me.
I can understand when you turn a corner and your head comes off, but damn, it sucks when you're a sniper and suddenly EVERYONE is going for YOU while you have 2 hw's and a friggen SG next to you. Yea, you kill me but you did NOTHING to help your team.
I've also been a Soldier and Demo man and to tell you the truth, if you cant juke out a sniper across the map, then you need better skills. Dont try to defend the noobs either because thats how they will learn.
Keep the 2 sniper limit is all im asking and keep the 1 sniper limit for those *ID* maps. But maybe raise the engy limit to 3 because a majority of the ID maps have two ways to exit the respawn and two SG's just dont cut it along with bots.

Lets put the sniper limit to -1.
Therefore, if someone picks sniper they get banned and/or cease to exist. Eventually you'll have a perfect tfc community - devoid of snipers. (expect on attack defend maps) |

Snipers, especially many good snipers like we have now...overpower a map filled with newcomers to the game. Allowing only one on most maps is fair taking that into consideration...this is a pub. There are still many maps where 2 snipers are appropriate and in some instances...almost traditional (2fort).
I became admin on a server that didn't allow snipers...Fortweb. It was truly friendly to the newcomer (me at the time) and there was some good fraggin. Peeps weren't afraid to come out of their base and be wasted immediately. It encouraged offense and prevented an entire team from going D...the most boring type of game. I don't believe ANY class should be completely restricted
Two of demo, spy and engie have long been the rule here...never heard any complaints about those classes. I'm not touching any restriction currently in place for any other class.
What I do hear complaints about are the HW's...and wanted opinions on restrictions for that class only. |

Or we could line up all of the HW's and have them shoot you.
