actionscript is a script
A script usually follows the same rules as a programming language, but it only works in one type of program |

I know HTML, XHTML, actionscript, and a little C++
I dont see how actionscript wouldn't be considered programming... its a language created to program in one particular program. None the less, I know it, and fjorn happens to not know it. |

They are the same, but for one little difference
A script is made to run in 1 thing, and one thing only, javascript and the like are made to run in a browser, mIRC scripting only works in mIRC, etc |

| So anything written with console dev kits is a script? Since they can only be run on that console? |

A script is something made to run IN another program (that is not an OS)
A program is made to run without anything but itself (or the OS) |

| I finished a book on C++ and a book on Java, I know enough of them to do a fair bit of good but it's really not my thing. I'm more of a web design person than a programmer. |
