I just want to say thanks guys and gals for the invite. Chi gave me the tag today and I was like whoa wasnt expecting it.
A little about myself:
Lets see I am 38 married with 4 kids ages from 5 to 12 my oldest boy who is 9 plays TFC when he isnt in trouble.
live in Central Texas
Enjoy gaming, camping, boating and working on old cars
I am a maintenance Technician for Freescale Semiconductor(long and odd hours)
Alias's: Excaliber, Dirk Pitt and White Knight
I have been playing TFC and DoD since 2001
TFC: I like to play offense but have just as much fun on defense. I was very heavly involved with TFC for about a year and a half and I was a league admin for a now defunct place called Area51live. Chip's place here reminds me a lot of the good old days when I was a admin, all of the crazy sound bites and mods. I have been a team captain , and co-captain on league teams in the area51live league and STA 5vs5. Oh and I cant leave out that I Enjoy sniping
DoD: what can I say it is either sniping or BAR cant wait till source
I really enjoy playing here and have a lot of fun thanks again for being such a great community(it is a great stress reliever)
News: well I decided to make a home theatre pc to play TFC on and man it is like learning how to play all over agian. I am having trouble getting my mouse speed dialed in it is either way to fast or to slow but I am getting close that and using a wireless KB and Mouse also has its problems but it is worth being able to play TFC and surf the net on a 51" big screen tv, beats the heck out of a 17" monitor woo hoo.
ok I will quit rambling on now any ways have a great day! |

Welcome aboard...enjoy your stay.
An old Area51 guy eh...if you look in your tfc\sounds folder, you'll see a folder called Area51. I ripped off some of our server sounds from another server who ripped them off from Area51...did you keep up with all that. Probably why this place somewhat reminds you of your old home.
Haven't seen ya on in a while, unless it was under one of your other aliases. I remember you being fun to play with...and I hope we do again real soon.
Oh...while on the forums, beware of low flying spam. |

ya I was away for a short time I was working night shift so it was work then sleep then work (vicious cycle) I am now on a compressed work week so I will be around more on the tail end of the week. I am honing up my skills but I might have to go back to a wired mouse and KB, but the wife hates cables lying across the floor |

Well it was pretty simple to do. If your bros tv has either a monitor port, HDMI port, DVI port or RGB high definition(component video) port it will work. I have a radeon x700 card that as monitor, tv out and dvi ports. At first I was using the tv out with the included adapter for the RGB and hooked it up to my high definiton(component video) input. I needed that input for another piece of video equipment so I am now using the DVI port with an adapter cable to go to my HDMI. It is great except I now seem to get a little motion sickness but that means I still need to work on my mouse speed. good luck if ya try it on your bros tv. |
