| simple movement scripts are lol noob. theres only one simple script i use, autoreload and i made it myself (then found out its exactly like other -reload/+attack ones out there) |

I don't think ETAA stops pipedown, unless it blocks forcecenterview.
(which, for other reasons, I guess it should) |

| These scripts are several years old, it's amazing they still work. I am able to do rocketjumps on my own, sometimes this comes in handy. |

You do realize that every button you push it enables a simple script? the creators of this game intended people to use the script they're there for everyone so its not cheap, So to all you people who are like OMG SCRIPTS HAXOMFG get off your high horse 
So the answer to your question no, no one can play without scripts |

kibbs if you wanna get technical i could say that the game has control functions, and the keyboard/mouse/joystick/other is used as control inputs.
control functions are "bound" to control inputs, so when you press keyboard control input [w] it triggers the control function "walk forward".
a script is an automated or semi-automated set of control functions. some of these scripted sets of control functions may be questionable in overal completed function or functions, and others may make honest players wonder if the game creators ever wanted particular sets of control functions to be used together. |
