In console ... fps_max 100 ... that should do the trick. |

Integrated video shares memory with the system ram...check how much is alocated to the video card itself. On my laptop...I can specify the amount of system memory to be used by the graphics card. You should have a similar setting. |

So should I
Stay with the intergrated 128mb video
or
Change to a nVIDIA mx 400/400 64mb Graphics Card
until I save up enought for a 100x better new vidcard? |

integrated vid on Liger0 (shittle sv24, p3@733, 512MB pc133 ram) can go up to 16MB, but its a s3 savage4 and gets no more than 30fps MAX if ever.
i did have a pci radeon 7000 w/ 64MB(sdr) and still didnt get much better.
now i think it was mostly a driver problem.
(((it had lockup problems too, google "capacitor plague"))) |

Start with my suggestion...if that doesn't work, consider trying the graphics card you mentioned. It should only take about 15 minutes to install it...drivers and all. |
