Garry's Mod 9.0.3 has the bloom effect built into it...very customizable also. Check it out there. |

Isn't Garry's Mod only for HL2 though?
And the people on the Steam forums are useless. There seems to be a general sentiment that VAC can't detect opengl patches since they're not loaded into memory. Someone disagreed, but before anyone could go into any depth, the thread devolved into a "lolyou're stupid. no UR stupid im mad hack3rlolo!!1eleventy!"
Of course, no official word on this yet. I imagine Valve is too busy beating off over Rag Doll Kung Fu :p |

I suppose if you knew the console commands you could. But setting the effects in Gmod with the sliders is a heck of alot easier. |

Update: because Sven Coop's weird in how it install itself on Steam, it automatically used the bloom DLLs I had installed for Half-Life. The good news is, I've been using them for upwards of a month now on VAC-secured servers and haven't had a single hitch. I'd wager the same is true in TFC.
If you want bloom, go ahead and use it I say |
