ok this is just a poll and opinion...cause someone...who shall remain nameless says he doesnt need a remote contol for the TV and could just live w/ changing the channels on the TV by hand...it's possible but 99.9% unlikely... |

I could live without a remote, but it would drive me insane after awhile. If we had a keypad on the TV like the remote, then no problem; but just channel up/down with volume up/down menu and power is annoying as hell. |

Well...we all know "who shall be nameless" is now...don't we.
I have remotes for everything...including my computer, air conditioner and soon...my Christmas tree.
Remotes FTW !!! |

I don't really use a remote. I gave up on watching TV once I got broadband, and wasted all of my time playing TFC. |

I'll never understand how person could live w/out one...
I kno people wouldn't die if they didnt have one lol...but what i mean by all this is that if you had a choice to have a remote or not...everyone i think would use one. I just can't see a person choosing not to have one if they could...this is the best/one of the most convenient inventions ever made! |

well I need a remote, otherwise I wouldnt be able to use all the functions of my big screen I had to go buy a replacment remote for my wifes tv just so I could get it to change inputs( there is no other way to change them on her set...go figure)
not to sound noobish but what does FTW stand for?? I know what it stood for back when I was in high school but that was many moons ago and I dont think that it is the same meaning but I could be wrong. |

I dont watch tv too much, but when I do, I must have the remote, because If I am wathching tv, I am usually planted in a chair or my bed, and intend not to move until I absolutely need to. Its my lazy time.. I love being a couch potato!! |

I own a TV and a remote....but i have not used either in years. Sadly, i don't find the time to watch television anymore, and i don't have Tivo to watch the programs that i'd be willing to watch but am unable to, due to scheduling. So, if I miss something I would have watched, I download it. Alot of things I'm willing to watch are apparently on channels I don't have anyway. |
