Why is it not cool to say "Ass"...when there is a sound on the server that says "I was just bullshitting, and you know this."(say BS).
I'm not trying to be an asshole, but isn't that kind of a double standard? |

We've covered this many times before...but you're new so we'll try this agian. Allowing the "small" stuff...invariably leads to the "big" stuff. The sounds are meant to be funny...and are controllable. It's the same each time you play it. I truly don't have "that" great a problem with "ass"...but it just leads down a bad road...that I'd rather not travel. We have many young kids and ladies that play here. Most are/were attracted by the fact that we keep it clean here. That's my take on it.
There's plenty of servers you can pop on and blaze away...like, every CS server in the world. |

i never wondered about ass or bs or anything little like that, it's the "wtf" sound that always puzzeled me since that's like prob the worst swear word by most parents standards...yet these words are forbidden lol
not complaining, just giving you a hard time chips |

Yes...that particular sound adds a little "edge" to what's allowed....and was tolerated. It wasn't coming out of someone's mouth. It's probably one of the most famous game related wav's that ever was. So...I suppose to end this debate once and for all...I'll make that an admin only sound (sounds only admins can play).
There...no more problems.
This place has always been about fun, community and goofball play. That's why the mics are always open. It's fun to rag on your opponent when you off him. But it can be done in a humorous way...foul language has no part in that. |

They do have a point SB...don't get on them. With so much going on at the server...it is kind of a double standard that's been brought up numerous times before.
I'm thinking I'll just "beep" out the F bomb in there and make it an open server sound again. I can deal with the other phrases in there. |

I only brought it up because I thought it was kinda funny.
I would like to make a suggestion, though. There are some(yeah, a few) words you can say on regular, broadcast TV. How about we can use those, so long as it's not in a derogatory manner? |

Thats the point, most of the bad word wavs are from movies, usually from a funny time in the movie, so as not to sound so bad.

Yeah, I guess. But its your double standard. This wasnt voted on, it was your idea. You felt that the wavs were fine, and that typing/saying could lead to harsher quotes (which I aggre fully). I just think what you say should go, even if people dont fully agree. |

Well Iggy i dont know about that idea. Over the past year i have heard some pretty offensive words on cable tv that i dont belive should be used in the server. Tv does have a rating system in place so that younger viewers dont hear these words. We here at CfH try to keep the server to a Pg level and at times bump it to a PG-13 when we know the youngins are in bed. Even at my age while playing on the server i still censor myself when playing and typing/speaking. I actually say bastage over the mic. |

Ah....but I said "Broadcast" tv....not cable. Two different things. On regular, broadcast TV, you can use the following: Damn, Hell, biatch, Bastard, and Ass. That's pretty much it.
I know cable get's away with all kinds of stuff....including the occasional F-bomb. That's why I specified. |

IMO- yeah, it's the division between "Sh*t, I missed a conc" and "You piece of sh*t sniper, you made me miss a conc" that is really important. I'm really foul-mouthed when I play, and I always yell both those sorts, so I keep my mic off when I play on the pub. In matches and practices though, I cuss like a sailor. |

Lots of people have trouble differentiating between the two. |
