hey, do you know the tfc cvar that turns off build limitations for sg's, like if this cvar were off you could build an sg in a spawn? ty |

Where you can build entities is built into the map itself...no
I'm not aware of any cvar that will allow that. |

there used to be a glitch in building dispensers.
map: avanti
team: red
class: engineer.
players required: 2, both red engineer.
best on: old WON hl, (lan mode only these days)
the 2 reds go into blue spawn after the gates open and run past the spawn sentry. after the SS goes down, the engie builds a dispenser at the blue flag in sight of the SS(but not too far to get shot by it while building). second player gets behind the dispenser so the dispenser is between him/her and the SS.
the red engie can constantly build dispensers because the game/map thinks his/her dispenser is dead. tons of dispensers can be made. |

was funny when i sat in on a group that did this on casbah literally filled the map with dispensers |

yes, there is a cvar that allows building of anything anywhere as long as there's room. i remember personally doing this 2 years ago when someone informed me of it. i dunno...maybe then took out over the years with the updates |

There was a server that played 2fort only, and the guy running it had removed the spawn turrets, and enabled building in respawns. Server was called "Mech-Anic's Garage", but it's not showing up as active on my list anymore. |

You need Monster Mod (it handles any entity) to run at the same time as the map, and it requires heavy editing of a CFG and to know what you are doing in order to add, or in this case, remove entities like the no-build entity and/or the turret entity.
I once was on a server using this mod with an ichysaur in the water on 2fort! This sever is gone too. However he had edited Ichy's code as well so it would sit and feed on players it killed and regain health. He put Ichy's health up high, and if you suceeded in killing it (you'd have to interrupt it's feeding and make it attack) you got a center of screen message like "You killed my favorite pet! I'm gonna get you for that!" |
