A very close personal friend of mine died last night, Robert Manley, at ~9:30 EST, Thursday the 23rd of March, of a major heart attack.
I was having dinner with him and his live-in house keeper, Andy. I stayed in the kitchen and did the few dishes, Andy went to walk the dog, and Mr. Manley went to go upstairs to bed. He colasped at the foot of the steps, and was dizzy. Then he had minor chest pains, his right side clenched up and his left went numb. He started sweating, and had labored breathing. Andy called 911, and Mr. Manley had a full cardiac arrest in the ambulance. They got him back, but he could not breath on his own. he then just gave up. He went quickley and quietly with little pain.
He is a big lawyer here in Cincinnati. He strated and co-owned a firm named Manley & Burke for over 20 years. Used to have five lawyers in the name but the others passed on as well.
Here is a link to his Office's website, a copy of the link for his name in the Attorney's section:
http://www.manleyburke.com/att_REM.html
Googling his firm's name (Manley & Burke) brings back many results: News clippings about him and such.
Mustang maybe you've heard of him?
I actually feel more empathetic for Mr. Manley's housekepper, Andy. Andy has full blown Aids, and has lived under Mr. Manley's roof for five years. I've known them both for four years. Andy lost his best and closest friend tonight. I am the closest one to him now. When Mr. Manley's dog, Nash, figures it out in a few days that his daddy is not coming home, we fear we will lose Nash as well. He is nine years old. Then Andy will only have me. |

I know what you're going through, I've lost 2 really good friends since November. I'll keep you in my prayers. |

The Wake was tonight. I help set up and clean up, but I babysat the dog during the actual wake and left the family alone.
The services will be Tuesday, 10:00AM at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, Downtown Cincinnati. |
