Many of you know about my map CFH Hide and how awsome is is nyuk nyuk Very Happy

If you aren't, click here and read alot.

Those of you that have played the map are aware of a couple of bugs in this map, where the bag can be thrown somewhere and made almost impossible to reach.

What I'd like to ask you is, would you rather me fix up this map, or make CFH Hide Two (or something like that) in a completely different scene? I've had ideas of a house, forest, office, or dock.

Please don't vote until you've played the first one though.

If you choose a new map, please post what scenery ideas you have. Maybe we should hide a different item? We've been hiding a bag of chips/crisps for a while now, maybe it should be a computer chip or something.. maybe something completely different? Please make sure your ideas are possible on the Half-Life 1 engine though.

Since there's only a place or two you can throw the chips that they can't be retrieved...I'd personally like to see it fixed. There's enough broken stuff lingering in the tfc world. It would be nice to see something perfected for a change. Good Idea

Fixing will mean something different quicker than a new map (for those of you voting without replying).

I didn't mention that only one or the other can happen. I can fix this map AND make a new map, but while one gets done earlier, the other will be delayed. It's more a question of, which would you like first?

i say fix the one you got and then try making a new one. Maybe one that has pictures of me all over the walls. Any, wouldn't you rather be known as the guy who makes a good map w/o bugs than a guy that makes buggy maps w/o trying to improve the ones he's already made Wink

Fix the first one I've seen many rounds lost because someone threw the chip bag into a spot where it's impossible to get. Bad Idea

On Topic: I'd like to see it fixed, before you move on to a new map(that is if you do indeed do another one).

Off Topic: Adam(or anyone else who's hammer(for hl1) works), can you send me pics of your config for TFC on Hammer? I can't get mine to work and there's been this map I've been meaning to make for TFC(the engie jump map, if anyone remembers that <_<) but I'm not sure if I have everything or not. My AIM, MSN, YIM, and e-mail are below.

I actually configured my Hammer for the old Half-Life (WON) system, because it's not very good to use with a steam account. If you have Half-Life 2 on your account, you should use the new Valve Hammer even for Half-Life 1 maps.

Back on topic, I can send them to you if you like, however I like centralizing things alot on my network including applications, so my setup would be very "abnormal"; however you are still welcome to my configurations if you want then. I'm quite sure I've got it working on a Steam account.

And how would I do that?

I'd say Make a New Map

CFH Hide is great, but it's kind of old, and it's reaching its limit.
I say devote the time that could be spent fixing the old map be spent on making a new map.
