ok how does this thing work? i see that its up and running..I've tried adding a few names but it tells me that Iv'e put in an invalid name???
also..is this friends thingy the way you can send pms to people in game??
Thanx for helping me(aka the NooB)  ..........mabey i should have put this in the Steam thread??.. oops  |

yeah, the friend list worked great back in WON had control of it. I could always tell when my buddy was playin.
*off topic*
I liked in the old days when you could look up the status of a server and find out how much longer thier particular map would still be playing.

I've not had success w/ the friend list either |

well then download HLSW  I downloaded it a long time ago cause i needed it for a server back when i was co-leading a clan of mine, but thats another story...Anyway it tells ya what map and how much time is left on it for any server. |

| if you have friends online on your list, just kick esc while playing than click friends on the right bottom side of your screen and the list should popup, then the friend that is online you could pm. |

but when I try adding names it says thier invalid??
I even tried copy and pasting them stright from the player list on the server..ummm...but i havnt tried taking off the tags???? |

| To add someone, hit ESC while playing and go to player list. click on the person and hit add to friends list. |

This is what I use to monitor and chat with folks on the server without having to connect or even open steam. None of you will be able to chat...but you can see who's there and get the time remaining on ANY server. |
