Did you participate in the Vivendi Universal HL2 Boycott? |
I bought HL2 on a disk, giving VU and VALVe both a percentage. |

Just wondering who got pissed at VU (publisher/distributer) for starting a legal battle with VALVe (developer).
I'm not going to get into reasons or big words right now, but I bought HL2 over STEAM direct from VALVe thereby cutting VU out of the profit margin.
Edit: Sorry, I forgot to add option three: You don't own HL2. |

I bought the HL2 Collectors Edition (retail box) since I didn't have a credit card to buy through STEAM.
There should be an option in this poll for people who we're forced to help VU because of not owning a credit card. |

I bought HL2 when i went down to the states for $25 american...so it would have been a small percentage. I must admit, I am completely unaware of the legal situation you mentioned here |

You also forgot the option for 'I bought it over steam because it was more convenient' |

Yeah I know. I would have added more options but I had already voted, disabling the edit poll feature. |

I got my Collector's Edition at CC (Curcuit City, sorry Choas).
I didn't even know STEAM existed until I bought it. Had a hell of a time explaining it to my dad. |

I bought it through STEAM but also moreso for convenience. I bought it they day sales became available, preloaded it the day that became available, and played it the day it became available. The legal battle didn't even start till after I bought it, so that couldn't have ben my motive :O |

The legal battle is what delayed HL2 for a year or more, Aud, It was happening long b4 you even knew HL2 was in the works. |
