I came across a fixed version of Rock2 on the steam forums. The claim is the bug with the suits and kicking the bucket in the gas chamber are now fixed.
I uploaded this new version to the server this afternoon. If anyone (admins) want to give it a try...be my guest. When we do get around to playing it...I hope it works... |

There are 3 other version of this same map with different scoring and one even has another entrance into the Wardens Office. I just picked the first link...the original map with the supposed fixes. |

Yes, but you can change it to rock2.bsp and it will still work
It only changes entities around. |

Ah. I love ent edited maps. Episode II and AXLs both run them, and they are great changes on old maps. If I was better at mapping (still working on making my first map work right, apparently there's a leak now, even though its just one big hollow box) I'd ent edit a map. |

wont that make the server say that your map file isnt the same as the servers copy?
or will it re-download the servers one?
wont that make it so next tome you play the map at another server it will change back? |

From what I understand...that should not be the case. Since it's essentially the same map with just those minor ent edits. It has to do with a build number imbedded in the .bsp file itself...or something like that.
I know _r is for "revised". I meant revisited as in revisiting a map no one wants to play cause of those known bugs. |

I don't wanna play it 'cause everyone plays D on a map that's hard enough to attack on as it is.
Darkskies_r is a much better rock2 style (flag and cap both behind enemy lines) map as it is |

We played it this evening and all went well. There were enough caps to tell that all worked fine.
Aud...I'm sure you'll agree that with the hook, that map can be a blast. There was plenty of fast paced offense to go around. That's the only way I'll play that map...with the hook. |

Yeah. That map is the only map that I enjoy having hook on. And hook's the only way I enjoy it |

Chips, you should have used the 2way map entity change, so there would be more offense on the map. |

Yeah...I definitely want to give that one a try also. For now, I just wanted to original to work...and it does.
Now I'm off to find a fix for Well...I HATE sticking to the elevators... |
