Well, since I'm sitting here in the library at 2AM, I was wondering what type of music people like to listen to when they are studyin/working/doing anything that requires them to use brainpower?
Right now I've been listening to a little techno, then a little bit of the new T.I. album.
Those of you that say music doesn't help, I appreciate your opinion, but that's not what I'm asking. I want to hear from people who do listen to music while working. KTHNX. |

I gotta go with techno, or metal/rock/ska/whatever instrumentals. Anything without lyrics that doesn't suck.
Lyrics tend to be a bit distracting, depends on the homework though. Math stuff, lyrics are fine, anything involving labourous reading/writing I tend to not like lyrics. |

I play guitar and study jazz like a mofo. I like to listen to it while I study as well. have been playing guitar for about 10 years now. I really enjoy playing it and a lot of kids these days have no idea what jazz is about. its a great thing. |

Yes...this is the prefered method of enjoying music. As opposed to feeling or smelling.
Sorry...I can never leave things like this be...

well, i've heard some people prefer no music while listening, so i figured i'd make that a strong point in my sentence. |

80's, classic rock, Avenged Sevenfold, orchestral music, some techno, but if I'm doing english homework(like I ever do that) or anything that requires a lot of reading and writing(like Aud said), the less the lyrics the better. But definately, no screaming music, or rap. |

i'll listen to anything that has no screaming in it while i'm studying, but i'll listen to anything when i'm not. really nasty hardcore rap and country are the only music genre's that i dispise.... okay, i can at least stand country. |
