goldfinger did cover it better than anyone else, (wtg making 1 of the verses german) but it is unbelievably rare for a cover to be better than an original.

ringing in my ears from seeing:
AlterEgo (local punk band, they kinda suck)
FarCry (acoustic set, their drummer got a collapsed lung yesterday and they still wanted to play somehow)
tv:616 (this was their last show ever. great band, kind of reminded me of early NIN)
Northwest Royale (kicks as much ass as ever)
Schoolyard Heros (meh)
Voux (coo)
That1Guy and his magic pipe (holy hell this was amazing. The.... thing he played was so cool and it was well done and wow)
Supersuckers (also kickass)
Rock N' Roll Soldiers (meh)
Ron Jeremy (told a few jokes and talked some. he's so sexy)
Presidents of the United States of America (absolutely amazing band live. like omfg wow)
Everclear (classic band. ended it covering Tommy Tutone's Jenny with about 40 girls dancing on stage with them)
Excellent show. Outdoor all-day shows own so hard. It started raining about when Ron Jeremy came on, but that just made things great. mudmoshing ftw. only bad part was that it was wet and muddy and dark and my friend was parked on a hill and I had to help push his car up since its crap and couldnt get any traction and I got mud allll over my face which wouldnt bother me except I swallowed some. That and I didn't really like Rock N Roll Soldiers or AlterEgo, but not every band can own.
Now I'm just looking forward to June 30th when Dragonforce takes an Ozzfest off-day to come to MY TOWN and headline a show. |
