For those that haven't seen it - its a great movie go see it. (i also suggest you stay until after the credits, hint hint)
Now, here is your forewarning:
THIS THREAD CONTAINS SPOILERS
If you are still reading and haven't seen the movie, sucks to be you.
What did you think? I thought this movie was awesome! They did HORRIBLE things to the storyline... but they did an OK job. I seriously couldn't believe it when they had jean kill scott, nor jean kill xavier. Though i loved the irony in having magneto being 'cured'. The cameo's were awesome also! good to see spike, AND have storm actually USE HER POWERS! First 2 movies you'd think storm was just some weak mutant... but finally use uses them well. Good to see kitty pride too, and see iceman pwn pyros face. I really wish they hadn't screwed up rouge's storyline so much though(especially the whole she doesn't have mrs. marvel's powers and such). Ending was kinda cheesy with logan killing jean... but I guess it was 'necessary' to have some sort of resolve. I also wish they had actually made phoenix's form take place instead of just making her look super-powered. So much more to say... so little time.

I saw it today, movie kicked ass. Dissappointed about waiting through 10 minute credits for a 10 second "clip" at the end. Dissappointed with the loss of Professor X. Should have really showed Phoenix and would have liked more Beast pwning faces. Didn't like the whole Jean strongest mutant ever part. Should have included some of my old favorites like Gambit, Nightcrawler, Dazzler. As chance said, so much to say, so little time. I'll leave with this. I'm the Juggernaut biatch! |

I deffintaly found it to a great movie. And they did leave it open to continue with more movies. I dont think they could have included more new characters in this one as they wanted to introduce the rest of the Original X-men from the first book. The introduction of Angel and Beast was a very positive thing IMO. I mean there is so much that they could have included into the movie but didnt such as Xaviers and Juggernauts link to one another but they didnt and wanted to save some stuff for future movies.
One thing that makers of these types of movies have to deal with is making a movie that everyone can be happy with. From the hardcore comic geeks to the moms and dads that are there to take there kids to the coolest new movie with special effects. But one thing you can always be happy about is there is always room for more and it keeps you wondering what is next in this series? It pulls you in as it has already done. Your already asking where is so and so and this person? I think that is one of the things the movie maker was striving to do to make you ask questions and show some intrest in this and I belive they did it very well.
And finally, I dont care if the credits were an hour long it was sooooooo worth it! |

lol,
Well, there's going to be a LOT of piracy for a while.
The movie people are losing some major money from illegal piracy. |

The movie people are also raping consumers with inedaquat dvds and jacking up prices so that they make money. How many times have you seen a company release a special unrated extended directors cut of a movie years after it has been out on dvd already? Add in a directors commentary to a dvd jack up the price and sell it as something new that is how they are sucking up your money. With crap features packaged as something YOU MUST SEE!!!!!!! as they put it.
As long as the movie production companies keep putting out half assed releases of dvds there will always be those that dont care to bow down to their money grubbing tactics and will pirate these movies. They want us to pay for the dvds? Give us something worth buying and maybe we will. |

After the credits:
You saw moira mctaggart and the body w/o a conscious sitting there, and suddenly you hear xavier's voice saying something along the lines of 'Hello, Moira' and her look at the body and say "Charles?"
that was it |

^^ That crap wasn't worth wasting 10 mins of my life waiting through credits. Now going of what CC said I agree with you. But some movies they have to do that, like Scarface. |

AFAIK there will not be another X-men movie.(that was sort of the idea behind killing 3 of the main characters, and nullifying 2 others)
However there is likely to be a Wolverine movie(Hugh Jackman apparently mentioned this in an interview).
One last thing I want to note: I loved that they finally brought the danger room into the movies, as well as the brief look at the sentinal. |
