Anyone have suggestions to keep cool during heat waves. My pool isn't ready yet and my AC is broken. Right now I have 3 fans blowing on me. Plz help I'm dying here.  |

take a cold shower, drink cold beverages, and think cold...it was hot out this weekend and today here in NJ though, right chips  |

if you have those huge floor fans, put them in your window. it keeps you a little cooler. also, wear white clothes as much as you can.
and don't wear socks. most of your body heat escapes thru your hands and feet. |

Actually most of ur body heat escapes thru ur head...i think its like 70 or 80%...maybe Dr. Kibbles knows the exact answer hehe. Thats why mom always tells ya to wear a hat in the winter, but i wear a hat everywhere i go anyways  |

58 in basement (It's flooded too)
109 in attic 
65 in my pool (If only it wasn't a foot deep and full of leaves and dead bugs and smells like a swamp)
80's outside

use aud's idea if you wanna lose a few hundred pounds...
my suggestion: leather ftw. my leather sofa is sooo cool....i love it just lay there for hours channel surfing, after a while its dark out and cooler in my room(which might as well be the attic) |

demasu thinks celsius is cool.
hot temperatures own. a week ago we had 3 days in the 90s and i was loving it. now its rainy and cold again. i wish i was gonna go to college in phoenix. 117 ftw |

Close all windows and pull down shades on the sunny side...open windows on the shaded side. Ceiling fans or box fans to circulate the air. I agree...no socks...just shorts and a tee shirt. Cold drink ... 
At 9:10 this morning, I stepped out for a smoke where I work....IT'S ALREADY DISGUSTING !!!!
Hot and rather humid...supposed to hit the 90's in Jersey today.  |

it has allready hit the 90s in Nebraska. it's only 11 o clock here too. huge storm coming our way though, i hope i can go to the pool in time.
hey, since your basements flooded, just get an inflatable raft and chill out down there! |
