We've been having some serious lag the last few weeks...and of course, there are the steam rolls we're all pretty much sick of.
If no ones noticed...I haven't been on the server in over a week. I've been putting together a new web site and examining all the plug-ins and mods on the server trying to determine which is causing these problems.
Lag may not be caused by any of them...but the steam rolls are. I've encountered strange lag problems with many servers that I came to realize are in Texas. I'm pretty much convinced that the backbone to that area of the country is just not reliable...that's just my opinion of course.
Hopefully by the weekend...I'll have sorted out at least "most" of our problems. |

Over at d2f, we've been encountering similar lag problems; some of them even causing TFC to crash for many people. It's not just Texas, New Yoik has similar problems.
The past week or so, the problems seem to have calmed down, though. |

lol, New Yoik.
I like that.
I bet you it's Steam.
Since this game is old, it's starting to slip in their minds, so the whole general TFC population is expiriencing the slip up, we are all getting from them. |
