Welcome to birds guide to concaiming. I will now share with you my uber leet skills and teach those who dont know the ancient art of CONCAIM!

THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL CLASSES.

First step! No...not downloading hacks silly...first you need to get conced!

Now that you're dizzy, heres how to aim! When you're conced, your crosshairs will move around your screen like so:

Heres a good example. As you can see I start off by aiming right at the eye of the red skull:

Next, I conc myself and do not move the mouse at all. My crosshairs are at the bottom of the "figure 8" but in reality, my bullets are still going to the center of the 8, right on the skulls eye. Some weapons, like the shotgun and nailgun, will show you false bullets. You really arent shooting where they appear to be going. Other weapons, like the rocket launcher and sniper, they show you where the center of the 8 is, the rockets will always shoot at the center, and the sniper dot will remain there also, showing you where to shoot.

If you have trouble finding the center of the 8, it may help to try to use your gun as a point of reference. It will always be aiming to the opposite side of the 8 as your crosshair, except in the middle when they cross over and meet.

See, its not so hard. Now you go be a pro and stop shooting your feet!

i think i got it!

If you're playing an HW and want to concaim, I recommend changing your tracers to a really bright colour. What I do for bright white ones is

traceralpha 4.0
tracerred 4.0
tracerblue 4.0
tracergreen 4.0

Somebody might be able to post something better for the tracers, I just gave what I like.

Also, you might want to consider getting custom blood sprites. Ones that you KNOW if you hit the guy because they're so obvious. When you see the enemy bleed, you know right where the center of true aim is, so adjust from there.

The ritcoshes (I have no idea how to spell the bouncing of bullets off the ground) are fake?

Yes...they are fake. bird^'s explanation is excellent. I've long known the mechanics of it...but it's still hard to believe that you're being tricked in this way. You're eyes and mind deceive you totally.

For the beginner, as bird^ suggested, try to realize and remember where your crosshairs "were" when you've been conced...cause they are still there if you don't move your mouse. Then, adjust accordingly and look for those blood sprites.

Im pretty sure that only works for CS noscopes, as your xhair position might not change, I'm fairly sure the center of your screen does.

I only said that because I told him how to do it and he posted it up. He asked me how to shoot while conced and i showed him that. He's wrong because he didnt use my permission to use the great explaination.

I remember back way way way when around 2000, the guys that created TFC came out and said, "Uhm, yep, it's pretty much an illusion... your crosshair isnt really goinganywhere. It's kind of like your moitor is behind dizzy." Something along the lines of that.
