as many people, especially those who have had to play with me in league, have pointed out recently, my mic seems to drop sometimes. I asked my roomate, who is fairly computer savvy, and he believes its just packet loss. if anyone else has some ideas, i'd love to hear them. I've gone through 3 microphones trying to get this to work right.
I tested to see if it was the mic, by opening up sound recorder and doing a constant stream of voice input, and it all came back clear. I've opened up sounds and audio devices in control panel and saw no reason there. I've yet to try this in teamspeak/ventrilo recently, but should be able to tonight with the match.
I'm probably going to have to accept it as packet loss, unless someone else has an idea. |

I don't think it's anything else
Probably packet loss, but I've never heard of such a thing happening.
Maybe it is HLSS... |

Have fun trying to get these guys to tell you what is wrong. I've been asking for almost a year. |

Me agree
But mics are suppose to be working, they're probably one of the most simple things on a computer.
Any probs will either be of the Internet or VoIP program
Got it? |

dunno about ur issue but on the topic of mics, is there some way to make it voice activated so i dont need to hold down a key to talk, only need to trigger it once, and then its just activated by a loud noise- aka my voice? if so, someone plz help me set this baby up :] |

Teamspeak or Ventrillo can do that...it's not possible in TFC.
MM...As far as mic problems go...if any of us had such a problem and were able to fix it, I'm sure someone would be more than happy to share the fix.
Chance now has a similar problem, but I remember times when his mic was perfectly clear. It's more than likely packet loss due to some setting you're using. What setting it is...and what you would need to set it to, I'm at a loss to explain...unfortunately. |

from what i've been told, due to mass amounts of p2p at my university, even though the connection is awesome, there is quite a bit of packetloss. i guess this is why. |

That would do it, if your university only has 1 central connection.
That's the most likely culprit.
And Voice Activated VoIP?
I need a mic
The future is now! |
