i begin to notice how retarted some ppl are in puvbs, and it gets so freaking anoying. wow. anyone else notice this?

yeah, in all honesty, if you join league play, pubbing just loses almost all its fun Sad

It seems that way reb because in league play ur so used to fast play and competition. Then when ya get to the pub, the pace slows down and people may not be as good or like u said, (in kinder words) people play the opposite of league play. U just gotta learn when to switch gears kinda and remind urself sometimes that theres a time for serious play and time to let loose and have some fun.

While the server was down yesterday, I played on a few "other" servers and was for the most part disappointed. It was Really too easy to run up a high score. many of the peeps I played against were not as much of a challenge as the foxbots even. Shocked

On one server playing ksour, I capped every cap-point totally unopposed which was rather pointless. The level of play here at Chip's is very much above the norm on most pub servers I've visited for sure. Good Idea

i'd have to agree with foot. Even though I play pyro, (which most of you think suck) in other servers I just own people left and right. Most of you are thinking, hobthebob owning someone? lol yeah well it was hard to believe too, but chips' fun house actually has a lot of pretty good players compared to the other pub servers out there.

Also Boris/Rebel_Leader, you're way too competitive. You and I both know that. My point being, that sometimes people just want to have fun playing tfc, and not worry about hardcore competition. I for one enjoy both play styles. Of course I also loved Thujon, so what does that say about my opinion on play styles? Razz

P.S. Thank you so very much chips for hosting my alltime favorite server. And thank you everyone who plays at it for helping to make my favorite gaming community-aside from tribes 2 ultra xtreme mod's community, but that mod died years ago. Boris knows what I'm talking about.-

yeah, you pretty much hit it on the head.
you just have to step back in your head to the times when you find it fun, and try not to take what happens seriously(granted, its hard).

its true.. i have to realize that league rules dont apply in ppubs so i need to let loose too, anmd just have fun or else it will only go downhill :[

This is a game...it's meant to first and foremost...fun. Very Happy

I personally enjoy more structured play...now, that may include a set up on defense that communicates well and is soundly placed. It may also include a team effort to build as many sg's on top of the enemy base on Well. Laughing

My point...I enjoy the team aspect of this game. I don't really care for a team free-for-all that leaves my role pointless and ineffective. I enjoy a team effort to either lame it up...or play seriously.

Of the many pubs I've played on...I can honestly say we have some of the most structured "pub" play around. There are many others where you can't get anywhere near as decent a game as here.

It's nice to have a place where when I'm finished playing at practice with tiger in a league structured environment...that I get to watch him piping the spawn on 2fort on our pub right after that. Laughing

Pubtards aren't really that fun. But let me just say that CfH is as advanced of a standard pub as you can possibly find.

It's great really, because we all know and get along with eachother, and there very few uberlame asswipes (especially in comparison to other servers) that just make the game not very fun. I guess I don't pub anywhere near as often as I did when I wasn't in any clan play. But whenever I notice that there aren't bots here, I make every effort I can to join.
