Me and Chance! were dicussing sniper scope priming......
I say (while hidding behind a wall) that looking away from close objects and priming the round in the sky then at a close wall gives you a srong prime and therefore a shot.
Now Chance! say's is shouldnt matter where I prime my round......the effect is the same. He also added maybe something wrond with my models....?????
Anyone do the same as me with priming in the sky, or away at objects, then close up?

i said something might be wrong with your models if the color of the dot appears to change. |

THAT'S WHAT IT'S SUPPOSE TO DO!
The Standard Sniper Dot is Red, and it stays red as you charge.
However, the intensity and hue of the red increases, especially around the edges.
What I did before I got down the timings, was hid, zoomed in at a wall, charged up my shot, and when that dot stopped increasing in brightness, I took my shot.
It's not WHERE you prime, it's How Long. |

Regardless of where you prime your shot...it takes 7 seconds to be fully charged.
I decide where I'll be shooting...generally speaking...and line up on a wall nearest to that point. I don't like waving my dot all over the map. |

You make it sound so dirty...
but that's also another good Sniper Tip
When you're charging, or finding a target, HIDE THE DOT
I look for them to see where the enemy sniper is looking
Then I pop out, and shoot 'em when they're not looking. |

what bentdog told me was, if he charges it against a different surface then brings it back to the wall its darker(or brighter) than normal... i.e. more charged.
i very, very seriously doubt there would be coding in the game which would do this, so I immediately explained that it could be a problem with his model or he could just be seeing the color wrong. |

I prime it in the sky or far wall anyway just so other people can't see my dot. Also, on places like 2fort, if you prime it behind the wall, sometimes other snipers can see your dot on the wall before you come out, making you a very predictable target |

To repond to Chance!'s log, what I meant to say was... if I prime for seven seconds against a wall in front of me, sometime it seams the "red dot" isnt as red or dark as it would be if i moved it around differnt linieal walls or sky. I might be crazy stoned etc, but it seems that way.
As for GHOST......heres what I know about sniping, and by far its the basics....
-Prime every round befor sticking you neck out. Like Chips said it take a few seconds. About seven for full charge.
-To get a head shot you must aim just about the head 1-2 inches above the head...(game measurment., not literaly) ANd you must have a full charge. "PRIMED"
-Expecially on HW do you aim even higher that usual, becuase Hw models are supposed to be taller than other models.
-Another basic tactice is dont be repeatative. If you keep coming out of the same repawn and doing the same crap, your and easy predictable target. Move around. Use jump. Move to a different location. Dont leave zoom on always. Learn to turn it on and of to move faster.
Thats what I have. GHOST if you look at old post theres real good sniper advise. What I know is the basics, and every real sniper knows this and more. Ask someone like Imortalee for more advanced sniper technics. |
