A. Its campus police.
B. Mr. Kerry even told the police to let him speak, so nothing should have happened in the first place. |

If he would have remained in control, he porb would have been allowed to finish. You could see him become more and more agitated as he was speaking, and it was clear he was not there for a "question" but to cause some sort of problem.
As far as why he rode the taser, well listen to the police, do what they say and do not resist, and they won't use force.
Those cops were far more patient with him than I would have been. The first time he pulled away from me, he would have been taken to the ground and cuffed.
Free speech is fine and dandy, I gave 12 years of my life to defend that right, but once you start to cause a disturbance with your speech, it can become criminal....
Once he got zapped he cried like a little girl though....I thought that was funny. |

Everyone knows if you didnt do anything, the best way to get the cops off of you is to scream you didnt do anything and resist them. |

I didn't find that graphic, or PG-13, I found it incredibly boring.

I would have freaked out too at first probably if im being grabbed randomly, however at first i heard nothing about them arresting him. It seemed as though they were just going to escort him from the building which is humorous because he later says that he will just walk out but its a little too late after the unnecessary antics. While his first amendment rights may have been "violated", you dont have to freak out and physically fight back to get your point across to people. Yelling and screaming clearly got your point out already. Everyone in the audience saw what was going on and it was being filmed anyways, so the story would have gotten out just the same. In the end all that happened is he got tazed when he didnt need to(which will suck for him as he wakes up today), and the main story on the news that ive seen is about the force used by the police, not whether or not his rights were violated. So basically he took a tazing for nothing almost in that respect. The tazing also wasnt necessary, its not like he is a 300lb linebacker, you should be able to get him cuffed without that. Am i a cop, no. But it shouldnt take 5-6 people to cuff him.
Honestly from the way he was acting, it almost seems as though he did all of this on purpose just to provoke a reaction like this.
edit:

Watch this video also. This was taken from someone from the other side of the room. According to this person he ran into the room with the cops already behind him and just ran up to the mic. So i guess he was going to be arrested from all of that first, but they stopped cause kerry initially said before all of these videos that he would answer the guys question before they could get him. The cops also didnt cut his mic, it was that guy behind him that seems to be someone to help moderate this thing that gave the "cut it" sign. |

The once he got zapped he cried... thing was probably one of the most insensitive things I have ever read. The kid may have been a little out of line, but what was done to him was absolutely horrific. And THIS is what we pay the cops for? To protect us from what? Protect and serve whom exactly? |

He was causing a disturbance, he was told repeatedly by the officers to chill and stop resisting. He didn't...he got exactly what he deserved. |

Exactly.
Personally, I want to see someone get tazered in real life, I think it would funny, but then again it's completely harmless, just causes your muscles to spasm, which does hurt, but that's all. Shouldn't disrupt the heart in any way, shouldn't even burn. The shooting ones will leave a small hole if it gets in your skin, but that's about it really. |

Yup he did.
He also went into this whole thing with the sole intent of trying to get a reaction out of John Kerry as a publicity stunt. Not once did he form his questions in a respectful manner and not even stop to let John Kerry answer his questions. All he did was spit out questions one after another not looking for a answer but as a way to "inform" and invoke a reaction from the crowd in the auditorium. I truely dont belive he went there with the intention of bringing anything intelligent to that speech.
Also when they cut his mic was handled perfectly as he would have gone on and one with his "witty" questions. And also the security tried to escort him out as nicely as possible but when he pulled away is when he made his mistake. The police have every right to use the force they did on him. They dont know what his intentions are when he is trying to pull away and even on the ground he was resisting and refusing to lay on his stomach as they tried to cuff him even saying "Just let me stand up". Wrong! He should have listened to the police and he would have been fine.
And yea I laughed my ass off to. i love when stupid people try to be all witty and political and try to take a stand against the police.
I would have tasered his ass too. Thats what you get for not following directions when the police are trying to do their jobs. Dumbass. |

haha you all have the right to your own opinions. It's still sad that you're so desinsitized by violence that you'll laugh at someone going through pain. Seems to me you're all a bunch of scum for laughing... Just my opinion.
I was sitting inside a holding cell one day and I saw a sign posted on the wall.
"Support the reinstatement of capital punishment" was posted right outside the window. What you guys say makes me wonder if you'd stand laughing at someone being put to death... If the guy was a killer, you'd probably say, he got what he deserved.
HAHA you make me sick. |

That doesn't compare in the slightest to someone getting tazered. |

You're laughing at someone who's in pain. How is pain funny? You wouldn't laugh at someone who falls off a building and dies, but someone who's getting tazered is funny?
As I see it, anyone getting physically hurt by the people who are supposed to protect people, not do harm to people, isn't funny no matter how severe.
Sometimes you may see it as necessary, I'll let you have that, but in no way is brutality funny.
I only made the connection because both of which are painful and I fail to see the difference between the two when it comes to humor. Neither one have any humorous aspect involved that I can see. Enlighten me. |
