Maybe its cause u guys are west coasters
But if it wasn't for bands like Tool and Nirvana back in the day, there wouldn't be as many rock bands as there is today. Aud you say Nirvana is overrated, and maybe they are, but i heard plenty of times that they were one of the important bands who opened the floodgates for alot of alternative rock.

West Coasters not like Nirvana? WTF are you smoking Falcon?! Did you seem to forget WHERE they came from? And saying Nirvana is overrated is also ridiculous, they might not have the same sound as anyone else, but they're the most influential band of the 90s, and that is a fact. And to say they were mainstream only applies to Nevermind. Trust me, I know my Nirvana, I'm from Seattle, I've seen it all.
As for the rest of your bands Falcon, I enjoy Chevelle, Foo Fighters (obviously, I'm a huge Nirvana fan), Metallica, and Green Day pre-Warning. And I wouldn't rip on Falcon's choice of music, at least you can understand the artists he listens to, unlike in 95% of metal

The Kurt Cobain Conspiracy is a tough cookie. If you watch the Law & Order episode where they did a case exactly the same, but changed names, they ruled it indecisive. I personally think that there are too many contradictions to rule it a suicide, and I despise Courtney Love. I do think that the case should be reopened as the crappy Seattle PD at the time, didn't do a thorough job whatsoever. However that is probably never going to happen.
And Aud, I do agree that the Melvins are talented, but they were not as influential and I would not consider them more important. And I do agree that the Pixies are talented, but again not nearly as influential. |
