Will CfH be joining one of the leagues that FF will end up spawning? I'm looking to do some competative FF'ing, and would prefer to be with people I somewhat know.
I know I don't get to hang around the CfH server too much, but part of that is because of hitting the FF beta server checking bugs and whatnot out. |

CfH has plans for a TF2 server, but at the moment I don't believe a FF server.
While I would personally really like the idea, I don't know if everyone else will be following. The other thing to keep in mind is that most people, at least when it first starts, that are going to be playing FF are those currently playing TFC. I would love to see the CfH community in both games, but I don't know if that will happen. |

Well i fully plan on playing FF and getting into it on a competative level. I dont know how many more people will be playing it with me but I am gonna guess a few.
TF2 not so much. |

I'll be playing both. As for what leagues and such, Im sure both UGC and STA will have to switch over eventually as I dont see TFC lasting long after both are released.
After having spoken to 1 UGC Admin, he feels that the current TFC league will fold soon after with FF being the one they are getting behind....for the moment.
In a happy place, all 3, TFC, FF and TF can live side by side, but the truth is, they wont.....1 or 2 will fall before too long.
While CfH will be running TF2 from what Im seeing, I would hope Chips doesnt yell at me for saying G4B2S will be running FF as soon as it comes out. (delete this if its not appropriate please Mr Chips) |

First thing to remember...we'll have to pay for additional servers no matter which mods we venture into. I have enough funds to run one additional server for around 3 months...that's it.
STA is already of the opinion that as soon as TF2 comes out...the 9v league is going to fold. The 5v league just may hang in there a while longer. We'll see.
So...what we choose to do boils down to whether we can pay for it and how much interest we'll have. I think what I'd like to do is set up the server(s) on my home connection to try them out and see how we like em.
I am committed to keeping the TFC server alive...I hope we'll be the last one that goes down. |

As soon as TF2 is available on Steam...I'm there.
They usually go through a "preorder" phase where you can download all or most of the content...then just activate it on the day it goes live.
Cya all there. |

I'm in-between these two phases... though, if possible, i'm going to be using my 2nd computer as a Fortress Forever server... |
