The other day I came to realize that I am the last one out of my imediate family to pass on my family name.None of my Cousins can beacuse one is in a long term relationship with a woman who already has three girls with her ex-husband, so I do belive she got her tubes tied so to say. Both my other cousins are from my fathers sisters so they have different last names.(well one does the other is R.I.P ) so that leaves me as the only male to pass on the name. Crap!!!  That is some stuff to carry on your shoulders there my friends. My family name could die with me. So to insure that this will no happen I am planning on having as many sons as possible (ok ok 4 and one girl)
So really I am asking does anyone else have any plans like this for their future? or anyone in the same predicamint as me?   |

| I too am the last male in my family that can carry on the name. My dad was an only child and well my sister can't pass on the name. So it's up to me.. I know how you feel.... |

thats the least problem i have, my grandfather has 3 sons all of them are married, i have a older brother, my uncle has 2 sons, so thats like....alot of people to carry on the name hehe. However, if all else fails Chaos, you could adopt a kid and legally change his name, then all the weight will be put on his shoulders  |

My brother's first marriage ended after 12 years...and no children. He's now married to a love lady who has two sons of her own that are approaching 30. So, no more kids for them.
My only son is handicapped...so that won't be happening either. Funny that my brother and I were talking about this exact topic a few weeks ago. My bro and I are the last...it is over. 
Chaos...better get working on that calendar. You could procreate with your hoards of endearing fans.  |

| i am the first of 3 brothers. but one of the reasons i am thinking of wether or not im going to have kids or not is the... umm... genetic illness in my family (not to mention names). i really do love my bro, but i don't think i want to handle another one like him. |
