TFC wasn't made by VALVe, but made by the same guys who made the original TF for VALVe's Half-Life.
They we're later employed by VALVe, but it's unknown if they quit or are still working there.
I suspect that this game might be that sequel of a old game that Ritual or Gearbox was making and was to be released on STEAM since it is a Source based game. |

The orginal TF was not for a Valve game, it was for quake if I remember correctly. But I just got back from a 12 hour long party and am pretty tired so I might be wrong. |

yea I remember the TF days on Quake, playing on 56k, wondering who created this wonderful game, and cursing the sloooooooow downloads. It was a nice break from regular (but STILL fun) Quake deathmatch.
Its amazing a simple game like this has stayed fun all these years |

Nifty, when I first read that what poped into my head was "Omg is Fortress Forever done already? I haven't been to their site to check!" but as of now, after checking the site, it doesn't look like they're anywhere near done yet. Boo.... Let me know if you figure out what game it is |

I hope it's something at least that comes with the HL2 accounts, and not something I have to buy extra. But whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be alright. |

My wording may sound a bit confusing.
TFC was made by the same guys who made the original TF on Quake.
They made it for VALVe's Half-Life.
They we're later employed by VALVe, and haven't been able to touch TFC since. |
