| Radeon X700 Pro, now im getting Counter Strike Source, DoD Source, and HL2DM, but i need to know if i want to install mods like Garrys mod and FF once it comes out do i need HL2 or i could just use one of those games?? |

dude, you need hl2 to get ANY of those mods  including CS:S DOD:S and HL2DM.. |

| wrong you are, thier is 2 packages in stores, HL2 Comes with HL2 and HL2lostcoast. and CS:S package comes with CS:S DOD:S and HL2DM, noob |

| ??? now im even more confused... well, you can't play garry's mod w/o hl2 anyways. it requires you have that, cs:s and HL2dm. i don't know about ff. sounds like they are making everything from scratch, but i think they would be using hl2 for the textures. |

Nirvana...I would be very careful when buying.
Any of those mods should require HL2 to be installed. My guess is the CS:Source package (which includes DOD and HL2DM)...would require HL2 to already be installed. Read the package carefully.
Many bought the low end HL2 offering in stores when it first came out...it didn't come with anything but HL2. So...for those that did this...it would make sense to buy just the mods for it.
I could be wrong...so check the "requirements" carefully. |
