For some reason when I turn on my comp my monitor will cut back off just before windows starts?? It started doing it at first just once in a blue moon. Now its doing it every time I boot up! I have to hold in the power botton till it turns off and turn it back on, although this always works and it stays on after doing that, its a HUGE hassle and I already found out the hard way you can't skip the skan disk for errors thingy either. cause after skipping it about 10 times I went to boot up and when my comp froze up and I got the lil beep of death I was like WTF!! it then did the scan disk on its own and it had to fix a crap load of files..ANYWAY! any suggestions as to what is going on?? |

anyways... time for an answer:
try some of the following:
put it in safe mode, if that works, replace your video drivers.
make sure the monitor is plugged in tight
if neither help your cause, try with a different monitor
if that doesn't work, check your bios, make sure your video settings are correct (IE: make sure it's reading the right slot; AGP, PCI, PCI-E. that was the problem with my lil' bro's compy for a while)
if that fails, video card problems sorry. might have to replace it. repost what you've tried first. |
