For anyone who didn't know yet, the beta of Steam Communities is out (in your Steam window, go File > Settings > Beta Participation).
I dunno how good or awful it's gonna turn out to be, but it's worth a shot. |

I have enough venues to intermingle with the TFC community...I don't want any more...just like steam friends. Don't anyone be offended if you've invited me...I have it disabled. I don't wanna talk to any of you while I'm playing. |

Darn, DA. Beat me to it.
But the beta is AWESOME!!!! much more community support and such
Gives things like a revamped version of Friends, Group chatting, Voice chatting, and a SteamID page, and other things like Avaitars and groups.
Seriously, check it out. |

So far, I have to say bleh to the Steam community. It has a lot of rough edges, and I'm kinda unhappy about it breaking the smoothness of friends. I guess it is still in beta, but I have a gut feeling that even when the first version is released, it still won't be as smooth as friends was. |

I really like this thing so far.
And I'm excited about yesterdays announcement that steam itself will keep track of ALL your TF2 scores. I'm eager to see exactly what they track, but if it's similar to the pigstats, except over all servers and for the lifetime of the ID... then I'm sold.
My steam account name is SolutionNyne if anybody wants to add me up on there. |
